Attendance

Attendance Information
Research shows that attendance is the single most important factor in school success.
For example, a student who is 10 minutes late every day will miss 30 hours of instruction over the course of the school year.
Absence Reporting Hotline
📞 610-469-5688 (Select Option #5)
Parents/guardians must notify the school of their child’s absence by telephone the evening before or the morning of the absence.
All documentation of student absences—including a record of telephone calls—will be maintained in the School Attendance Office and is considered the official record.
Only authorized parents and/or guardians may report student absences.
How to Report an Absence
Please call 610-469-5688 the evening before or by the start of the school day on the morning of the absence. The system will direct you to the appropriate building extension. Calls may be recorded for security or verification purposes.
- At the tone, please provide the following information:
- Parent/guardian name
- Relationship to the student
- Student’s grade
- Reason for the absence or tardiness
- Teacher or homeroom (if known)
- A return phone number
Multiple-Day Absences
- If a student is absent for more than one day, parents/guardians must call the attendance line each day, unless instructed otherwise by the Building Secretary.
- If no call is received, the school will attempt to contact the parent/guardian at home or work and may leave a message.
- Any student absent for three or more consecutive days must submit a physician’s excuse.
- Written excuse cards delivered by hand or fax will continue to be accepted
Non-School Sponsored Travel
Families requesting absences due to non-school sponsored travel must complete a request form through their child’s Skyward account.
How to Submit a Request:
- Log into your child’s Skyward account.
- Navigate to Attendance.
- Complete and submit the Non-School Sponsored Travel Request Form.
The school will review each submission. Families are strongly encouraged to review the district regulation that governs non-school sponsored travel before submitting a request.
